Family owned and operated since 1972, MONVA, S.L. has been deeply rooted in the olive oil production for over 4 generations, so it´s only natural that it has become the biggest producer of Estate-Grown olive oil under the “Sierra Mágina” Designation of Origin. Located 600 metres above sea level on the slopes of the Sierra Mágina Natural Park, MONVA operates a 650 hectare estate with 90,000 olive trees in production which adheres to ISO 9001 and 14001, BRC (British Retail Consortium) and IFS (International Food Standard) quality guidelines. Its unique geographic location is ideal for producing high quality extra virgin olive oil. Our mission is to produce high-quality extra virgin olive oil while honoring our environmental commitments. The following are some of the procedures we strictly follow:

  • Carefully planned harvest at the peak of ripeness.
  • Careful transfer and cleaning of the olives which guarantees the fruit reaches the mill in the best possible condition.
  • Production of olive oil strictly following the cold-pressed technique which maintains the scent and taste of the fruit..
  • Strict and constant analysis of the olive oil during the entire production process from the moment the olives arrive at the production plant.
  • Stable temperature and inert atmospheric conditions in the cellar.
  • Strict hygiene and efficiency controls throughout the production and bottling process.

Monva has been awarded, among others, the 2012 Andalucía Económica Innovation Award and the Trends & Innovations Award of the Food Fair Sial Paris 2010.
